‘El Balonazo’ – The best of Spanish football on a T-Shirt

We love this website dedicated to the finest of football T-shirt design from the home of La Liga.

“El Balonazo” or ‘the Long Ball’ is the Madrid based T-shirt provider for the style conscious Spanish Football Fanatico.  Found it by complete accident when searching for Real Valladolid kit pictures -that’s the wonder of the Internet for you.

The company was started by Rayo Vallecano fans, graphic designer David Genis & former music industry marketing executive Paul Reidy to provide an alternative to the poor quality tat that a lot of football clubs try to sell to their fans (because in our view they can’t be bothered to source great design). El Balonazo wanted to celebrate the history and glories of Spanish football in a unique  way and this is not just about La Liga big boys – the site caters for a wide range of Spanish clubs,

Here are some are some of our Away Colours faves amidst many.

1. Mario’s Hair Don’t – (because he’s worth it)

The Mario Kempes Hair & Moustache Tribute

2. Atlético de Madrid – the team everyone loves (unless you are Madridista of course)

Aragonés, Ufarte, Gárate etc.

3. Valladolid – enjoyed since 1928

desde-1928

Because we love the purpleness of Real Valladolid & we like Javi Guerra #pucela

And there’s more, a Spanish flavoured nod to the “Contra El Futbol Moderna” movement, footballing philosophers AND they do women’s cut if you are that way inclined (which some of us might be). The @elbalonazo Twitter feed is also a great source of Spanish football culture;  past and present and gave us this wondrous picture of the newly Spanished Diego Costa of Atlético Madrid – one of the finest pics of La Liga season so far. A marvel. Thanks chaps.
